Meet Your Hosts
Mark & Tracey Reaman are a local couple born, raised, and currently living just outside of Mount Forest. They are the proud owners of the Yellow Brick Guest House and Reaman Construction. They love nothing more than buying tired, outdated houses and bringing them back to their former glory using mostly reclaimed materials, antiques, and good old fashioned elbow grease! When they aren't working on a renovation project they love spending time with their family and especially their grandson and grand puppies!
What's in a name?
When Mark & Tracey purchased the home in 2023 it was in dire need of rejuvenation. The house was tired, well-lived in, and the amazing historical features of the home were mostly hidden. One thing did stand out, the historic yellow brick facade.
In the yard they found an old pile of the yellow bricks and later decided to use them as the flooring in the front entrance, welcoming guests into the home.
For several months Mark & Tracey spent their evenings, weekends and any spare time in between stripping back the layers of dropped ceilings, wallpaper and paint until finally being able to see the house they knew was underneath. After the labour of love that went into uncovering the features of this wonderful home, Tracey knew she couldn't part with it. With her knack for home decor and flare for entertaining combined with the limited accommodations available locally, the answer was obvious and the Yellow Brick Guest House was born!
Mark & Tracey love Mount Forest and the surrounding towns and are proud to have partnered with local retails to decorate and stock the Yellow Brick Guest House.
